Connor Phillips is a multi award winning TV, radio and podcast presenter from South Armagh in Ireland. He has spent the last two decades working on some of the UK and Ireland’s biggest platforms presenting everything from kids TV to sport, current affairs and entertainment. Connor currently presents on BBC Radio Ulster / Foyle where he hosts his daily afternoon show from 3-5pm which is the most listened to music and entertainment show on BBC Sounds regions in the UK.
Connor currently works predominantly across the BBC on TV and Radio. He is a regular presenter on BBC Radio 2 and he has hosted the BBC Radio 2 C2C Festival on stage in front of 20,000 music revellers for the station. Connor can also currently be heard on BBC 5Live presenting everything from Weekend Breakfast to Weeknight Evening shows.
A former actor and National Youth Theatre alum with a Drama degree from Queen’s University in Belfast, he started his TV career working on RTE's T.T.V. Programme. He has always divided his time on-screen with radio presenting - which began on Bauer's Cool FM in Belfast - presenting 'The Cool Saturday Show' which earned him nomination for best newcomer at the Sony Radio Awards. Connor also presented 'The Cool Breakfast Show' where he won 'Radio Show of the Year' as well as well as 'Presenter of the Year' attracting record listening figures.
Connor has worked for MTV on the 'Europe Music Awards' in Belfast with hundreds of millions tuning in from across the globe followed by a stint presenting and reporting on 'The Magazine' programme on UTV.
Connor combined radio and TV again working on various episodes of ITV's 'Tonight' programme. He has presented for CNN, for 'The One Show' on BBC One and co-exec produced and presented his own TV programme on BBC One with his wife presenter Holly Hamilton.
Connor was one of the presenters of BBC Northern Ireland’s record breaking TV coverage of the All Ireland Hurling and All Ireland Football Finals which broadcast across the UK on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer attacking over 2.2 million viewers.
Connor presented the 'Belfast Mixtape' for the BBC and won a Royal Television Society (RTS) Award as well as a GOLD at The Irish Radio Awards - (The IMRO's). He has presented Northern Ireland's biggest TV talent show, 'The School Soloist of the Year', 'Westlife Live in the Ulster Hall' for BBC One and BBC Radio 2 as well as being the lead presenter for 'BBC Children in Need' which he will continue to do this year.
Connor has a new podcast coming out this summer called: ‘Its there’ with Irish commentary legend George Hamilton where they talk to Irish sporting legends about the biggest moments in sports history.
