    Maia Beth

    Maia Beth is a presenter and DJ from Washington, Tyne and Wear - based in London. 

    Maia hosts BBC Radio 1 Happy every Saturday and regularly covers for Mollie King on Radio 1’s Future Pop. She has hosted events for Universal Music for artists such as Zayn Malik, Fletcher, Bastille and Conan Gray and has interviewed Sigrid, Sekou Rina Sawayama, Jodie Harsh, Tom Grennan, Mimi Webb and many more.   

    She also works for BBC Introducing, hosting their new music coverage at iconic British festivals like Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds. 

  • Maia is currently hosting the live tour of BBC’s smash-hit Gladiators. In September, she also took on the role of digital host for the Mercury Prize in Newcastle. 

    As a versatile DJ, Maia’s true love is for disco and house music. She has great experience playing festivals (All Points East, YNot, Glastonbury), clubs (Brixton Jamm, Lio London, Effra Social) and corporate events for the likes of ASOS, England Rugby, the University of Greenwich and Big Mamma restaurants. This year she also DJ’d at the Universal Music Brits Party and BAFTA Games Awards after party – wherever she goes she’s guaranteed to get the crowd dancing. 

    Outside of music Maia is interested in documentary making and current affairs - before becoming a presenter she was a producer - regularly creating programmes across Radio 4 including Woman’s Hour, MoneyBoxand Newscast. 

    Maia’s social platforms are continually growing, and this year she has worked with brands such as Abba Voyage, Adidas, and LNER, among many others.
