    BBC Asian Network presenter Nikita has hosted the station’s prestigious Breakfast Show since July 2022 and from September 2023 competed in the 21st series of BBC1’s Saturday night favourite Strictly Come Dancing.

    Recently nominated for Presenter of the Year at the Asian Media Awards, Nikita has co-hosted Drag Race 2023 Final event, and fronted regular reports on BBC1’s The One Show on topics from the rise of cashless businesses to government support for female sport.

  • Nikita is an experienced international event host who has presented in front of 75,000 people at Asian Network’s summer festivals. On her radio show she has interviewed everyone from Killing Eve star Sandra Oh, Bridgerton actors Kate Sharma and Charithra Chandran, to Marvel actress Awkwafina and global pop star Nick Jonas.

    Nikita joined BBC Asian Network in March 2021 after five years’ working in TV and local radio and was soon presenting a Saturday lunchtime show 1-3pm with co-host Mistah Islah. The show doubled its listenership and won a silver APA award in November 2021.

    Nikita and Islah created a number of viral videos for the station, including spoofs on BBC blockbusters The Apprentice and EastEnders, and have co-hosted the BBC Asian Network Comedy Night, which is available on BBC iPlayer.

    Nikita studied film and screen media at university and graduated determined to be a full-time presenter. After stints on ZEE TV and the drivetime show on Asian Star 101.6FM. A veteran of West End theatre, Nikita has performed in productions including The Wiz, Bugsy Malone, Annie and Pocahontas.
