    Girls in Low Places

Girls In Low Places is the UK’s leading country music podcast — created and hosted by Katie Atkin, bringing a fresh, female voice (and pink cowboy hat chaos) to the country scene.

Born out of a breakup and a called-off wedding following her Nashville hen trip, Katie saw an opportunity and a gap for the female voice in country music interviews, creating a distinctive style bringing out artists' personality and humour, with her trademark cheek and sass. What started as a personal outlet has grown into a bold, unfiltered space where fans feel they can join the country conversation. The podcast has also secured an impressive female following.

  • In November 2025, Katie took it to the next level by hosting exclusive TikTok red carpet coverage for the 59th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards in Nashville. With her signature warmth and insider’s eye, Katie captured the glitz, the glam, and the genuine moments from country music’s biggest night with her unique approach to interviewing the talent.  With Katie’s daring nature, she isn’t afraid to go one step further to get the cheekiest content possible. When she’s not interviewing stars or creating content, Katie is curating community, connecting with fans, and growing this corner of the internet with all the charm and down-home sincerity of a real Small-Town Girl.

Pinned as country music’s answer to Chicken Shop, Girls In Low Places mixes heart and humour with headline interviews and hot takes on the latest in the country world — from Nashville to the UK. Guests have included a viral interview with Riley Green, Tucker Wetmore, Carly Pearce, and country music legend Bob Harris, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
