James Threlfall hails from Wiltshire and is the British host for the world's biggest football platform, 433.
In 2017 James began his television journey fronting his own series ‘Now Boarding’, commissioned by AMC Networks for the Extreme Sports Channel, with episodes airing in over 50 countries globally. From there, James picked up multiple live sports broadcasts for Red Bull, a viral mental health film for BBC Three, hosting for NASS Festival and live event work for VICE. Expanding into radio, James hosted BBC Introducing in the West from 2020 and progressed to cover on BBC Radio 1, sitting in for Charlie Hedges on Dance Anthems. His work with the BBC continued to grow, presenting and commentating on live broadcasts for BBC Sport.
James entered the world of football broadcasting in 2021, joining 433 as their British presenter and immediately working on the Euro's at Wembley. He has since hosted coverage and content from virtually every major league and tournament for their audience of over 74 million on Instagram and interviewed the likes of Michael Owen, Ian Wright, Gerard Pique, Cesc Fabregas and Xabi Alonso. A huge Formula 1 fan, James broadened his sporting credentials further and stepped into a presenting role for F1 Arcade at the start of the 2023 season, hosting Grand Prix events and digital content. 2024 saw James' first step into daytime television, presenting a film for the BBC's Morning Live ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games.
Commercially, James has worked on campaigns for brands such as Samsung as well as working with festivals like Snowbombing, Boardmasters and NASS. He is an ambassador for mental health charity CALM and the Bath Rugby Foundation.
In 2019, at the age of 25, James was awarded an MBE by the Queen in her New Year's Honours, the only professional skateboarder to ever receive the award. James was celebrated for his services to young children, helping to raise crucial funds needed to help develop and build skateparks in his local area of Wiltshire and was responsible for setting up the Wiltshire Skate Series - a local skateboarding competition for the community's benefit.
