With a passion for showcasing the best undiscovered and under the radar musicians and new music, Jess Iszatt is the host of Radio 1’s flagship BBC Introducing show. She covers for other shows on the network including Future Artists, The Chillest Show and Early Breakfast, presents on their sister station Radio 1 Relax and remains the host of the London regional BBC Introducing show. Alongside this she also hosts the 2-5pm weekday show on Magic Chilled.
Jess prides herself as a tastemaker at the forefront of the new music scene in the UK and has strong links with AIM (the Association of Independent Music), presenting for their annual awards 4 years running. Most recently she has co-presented the livestream coverage of Creamfields 2023, worked with War Child on their Day Of The Girl project and acted both as a judge and as the host of the Amex Gold Unsigned 2023 initiative and showcase.
She hosts The Record Club in association with Bowers & Wilkins interviewing the biggest musicians of the moment. Other presenting credits include Reading Festival’s YouTube and social channels content, Shorts on Tap which supports emerging London film makers and entertainment coverage for The Hook.
As a live DJ, Jess plays sets in the UK and abroad for events and festivals including Snowbombing, Secret Garden Party and Creamfields. With strong sporting links she is in demand at the biggest fixtures of the season and has played at stadiums and venues from Lord’s Cricket Ground for The Hundred Cricket, The CopperBox for England Netball, to Wembley for the League 2 Finals as well as for the England Women’s Rugby Internationals in Exeter and Northampton. Jess DJ’s regularly at Tottenham Hotspur match days including for the iconic Women’s North London Derby.
Commercially she has partnered with Jack Daniels, Dice, Pioneer and SuperDry.
Jess plays hockey competitively for Broxbourne Hockey Club.
In 2021 she was awarded Silver for Best New Talent at the Frank Gillard Awards for local BBC Radio.
She is an Ambassador for the charity Youth Music.
