    Nick Grimshaw

Nick Grimshaw is firmly established as one of the country’s most successful radio and TV broadcasters. He began his on-screen career with Channel 4 and went on to join the BBC in 2007 for his dream job as a Radio 1 DJ. Hard graft and a natural gift of the gab led him to host the station’s most coveted slot, The Breakfast Show, for 6 years. He left Radio 1 in Summer 2021 after 14 years but remains in the BBC family and can be heard covering the 6 Music Breakfast Show and depping for Radio 2.

  • Nick co-hosts the hugely successful podcast Dish with Michelin starred chef Angela Hartnett, now on its sixth series as well as presenting the music led offering from BBC Sounds, Sidetracked, which re-unites him with long term on-air partner and real-life pal Annie Mac.

He has fronted numerous shows for all the major UK networks, his most recent TV presenting credits include The Great Home Transformation (Channel 4) and Josh Must Win(E4).

Passionate about contemporary art and design, he interned for an international music set designer and completed a course at Central St Martins all whilst hosting the Radio 1 Breakfast Show. His love for design and all things interiors can be seen on his Instagram @thirtysixandahalf

Grimshaw was born in Moss Side, grew up in Oldham and now lives in London. His debut non-fiction book Soft Ladwas published in 2022 by Hodder.
